Stories born from real family moments — written for the curious minds of the next generation. Three books available now on Amazon, and custom AI-assisted storybooks coming to life every day.
Each book is born from a real moment — a son's fascination, a father's memory, a family's need for screen-free fun. These are stories that matter.

Uncovering Their Fun Jobs When They're Not at the Arena
What do monster trucks do when the arena lights go dark? Discover a world where Firefighter Frank (AKA: Inferno Interrupter), Doctor Daisy (AKA: The Medical Marvel), and their friends hold down exciting careers in the community. This imaginative book sparks curiosity about careers while celebrating the vehicles kids love most.
Written with AI for Stephen's son when he first fell in love with monster trucks.

A Story About a Dad and His Beloved Van
A heartfelt, entirely human-written story about a dad and his beloved van — a tribute to family, memory, and the everyday adventures that become the stories we tell forever. Written from the heart, without a single line of AI assistance, this book is a love letter from Stephen to his father.
Written entirely by Stephen — no AI — as a tribute to his dad and his dad's van.

"Couldn't recommend Stephen enough! I wanted to create a custom book of my wife and son for her birthday and it came out so great! Stephen did an incredible job on understanding the vision I had as well as providing his own insights and ideas. My son loves seeing the cartoon version of himself and gets so excited every time we read it. This has become a staple in his enormous collection of books and we are so happy with how it turned out."

Stephen Hodges is a children's book author, father, and storyteller based in Oregon. He is also the founder of BosonHub, a full-service digital marketing and web development agency that has built nearly 400 websites for companies of all kinds — helping businesses, nonprofits, and authors tell their stories online. He has worked with authors since 2011, and his first author client is still with him today.
His books start with his kids. When his sons became obsessed with monster trucks, he wrote one — with a little AI help and a lot of his own humor. His boys were in the room for that one. When he wanted to honor his dad's decades-long obsession with his van, he wrote that story as a Christmas gift, working with a local illustrator to bring it to life — a deliberate compare-and-contrast with the AI-assisted book to see what each approach actually feels like. His kids helped with that one too. When they needed something screen-free and fun, the coloring book followed naturally.
Stephen is a pioneer in AI-assisted, human-centered publishing — using modern tools to amplify creativity while keeping the human story at the heart of every page.

Every dollar of profit from these books goes directly to community giving. Stephen's primary focus is supporting first responders — the people who show up when things go wrong. Beyond that, the program supports organizations that draw communities together: the Mid Willamette Valley YMCA, Albany Area Habitat for Humanity, United Way of Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties, the Albany Civic Theater, and many more across Oregon and beyond.
When you buy a book for your child, you're putting something back into someone else's community.
Whether you're interested in a custom storybook for your child, have a question about the published books, or just want to say hello — Stephen would love to hear from you.
